The future aspiration was to share my love for knife making with you. So come and join me in the forge and I will show you how to create your own knife which you will be proud to use.

Having attended knife making experiences in the past where the teacher did all the work, I felt unfulfilled. When you come to Ridgeback Forge, you will perform all aspects of making the knife and leave with the satisfaction of enjoying what you have created.
This is the knife you'll make on the 1 day course!
This 5" utility knife is similar to what you'll make when you join me in the forge on the 1 day knife making experience. It's a really handy size for using daily in the kitchen.
This is the knife you'll make on the 2 day course!
On the 2 day experience, we have a little more time so we'll start day 1 with a design period where you can draw out what you want to make and then we'll start. You'll look to make a 7-8" knife which will involve more hammer time and you'll be able to spend more time refining the knife.
Prices.
The 1 day experience costs £200 per person and the 2 day experience costs £300 per person. I don't have fixed course dates; instead, if you tell me your availability, I'll work to accommodate you. I offer experiences both weekday and weekend, whichever suits you. Please contact me through the contact page to book your experience.
